Strong Opinions
There’s a time for a book,
so patiently in wait,
a time for time,
a time for life,
a life inchoate.
It swings firmly back,
a momentum of course,
a moment of this
a moment of that
a temporal divorce.
It steps into pace,
a signal signing strong,
a sign of then
a sign of now
steers you right from wrong.
It drives a memory home,
a mind that’s holding back,
a mindful there
a mindful here,
defense defense attack.
It takes a strong opinion,
a belief you hold dear,
a shake of this
a twist of that
it takes away your fear.
It ends with a small flourish,
not too flashy now,
a spin, a kneel,
a tap, a heel,
it ends with a bow.
